Boric Acid Ant Recipe

There are many ways to make an ant bait recipe. The amount of borate needed is only around 1% of the total solution. People have found success with using the following products: peanut butter, honey, Kool Aid, tuna fish, and hamburger. Ants are basically attracted to two things: fat and sugar.

The goal is to mix boric acid with the bait so as not to put off the ants. The stronger the solution the better as long as the ants keep coming for the bait. For that reason, you may want to experiment a bit to see how much you can get away with.

I like to use one tablespoon of peanut better with ½ to 1 teaspoon of boric acid.
